The 48-year-old rapper appeared in a short clip posted by the popular account Mystery Fashionist, where he was asked to rate his outfit and talk about his fashion choices.

West introduced himself as “Ye from Chi,” saying his look was a “10 out of 10,” and noted that he was wearing original Yeezy 950 boots along with pieces he picked up from a pop-up store.

However, the tone of the interview changed when he was asked to name a fashion trend he regretted participating in. West went silent for several seconds, nodded slowly, and then replied quietly: “Life.”

The comment immediately set off alarm bells online. Many fans said the rapper looked “sad” and “emotionally drained,” while others expressed worry about the calm but heavy manner in which he delivered the answer.

“I hope he’s okay, this didn’t feel like a joke,” one viewer wrote. Another added that West’s expression suggested he was “carrying a lot emotionally.”
