‘Harry Potter’ star, Rupert Grint opens up on series remake

English actor Rupert Alexander Lloyd Grint has opened up on how he feels about the remake of the popular Harry Potter series.

The actor, who starred in the series as ‘Ron Weasley’, expressed his excitement for the movie. He also opened up about stepping out of the shadow of the child character 14 years after the release of the final film.

“I’m fine with that. I think it’s great. I love meeting people who really felt this was part of their childhood. It’s quite strange to have the cycle happening again. I’m really intrigued what it’s going to be like,” he told BBC.

Grint also stated that being a part of the series as a child, changed his life. He added that he however, doesn’t see himself stepping out of the character’s shadow.

“It changed my whole life quite quickly. I was a huge fan of the books, so for me it was like stepping into the books, and that was very special. It has a quite deep meaning to a lot of people of my generation, and even more to generations who are finding it now. It’s great. It gives me a lot of pride. It was such a huge thing. I don’t think I’ll ever quite step out of his shadow, but I’m fine with that,” he said.
