Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has opened up about the first movie he personally produced and how it shaped his career.

Many people assume his first production was Wale Danger, but Adedimeji revealed that his actual debut project was O Se Regi, which he produced in 2007/2008. Despite pouring his heart and soul into the film, the project did not succeed, leaving him disappointed but determined.

“From that humble beginning, I kept hustling,” he said on X. “I did lots of free work and took every opportunity I could. Then in 2013, after years of effort, heaven smiled on me with Kudi Klepto, a production by Yewande Adekoya. She handpicked me for the role when many questioned who I was. She saw the future.”

Adedimeji emphasized that hard work, persistence, and faith were key to his breakthrough. “Alhamdulilah. When my personal production didn’t work back then, I didn’t give up. Determination always pays off,” he said.

Today, Adedimeji is one of Nollywood’s most recognized actors, attributing his journey to early struggles and the right opportunities. He urged young actors and producers never to give up, no matter the setbacks.
