The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) after Dangote Refinery and several depot owners lowered their ex-depot prices.

Newsmen who visited filling stations across Abuja on Thursday confirmed that NNPCL has cut its pump price from N945 to N930 per litre, a reduction of N15.

The new price is now in effect at NNPCL retail stations in Kubwa Expressway, Gwarimpa, Wuse Zones 4 and 6, and other parts of Abuja.

Other filling stations have also made slight reductions. Ranoil in Gwarimpa reduced its pump price from N940 to N935, while MRS and AP Ardova stations are currently selling petrol between N930 and N935 per litre.

This price reduction follows cuts made by Dangote Refinery and depot operators, including Pinnacle and Aiteo, who dropped their ex-depot prices by at least N10, selling at N846, N845, and N844 per litre respectively.

Earlier, the spokesperson of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Chinedu Ukadike, said fuel prices could fall even further as competition in the market increases.
