“Kissing, hugging passionately is performative,” Etinosa claims

Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia spoken about being intimate on set, claiming that intimate acts done on set are all performative.

While speaking about her transition from engineering to acting, the actress opened up on how she handles being intimate on a movie set.

She explained that she treats intimate scenes like every other scene, stressing that professionalism is important. Etinosa also emphasised the need for actors to learn detachment.

“As a professional actor, you should be able to enter your character and come out of it easily. When you hear ‘action,’ you perform. When you hear ‘cut,’ you detach. Kissing and hugging passionately is a performative act. It is more calculative than intimate. Even though it looks real, I do not feel anything during intimate scenes because it is a mind thing,” she stated.
