What Terry G said about Burna Boy’s recent controversy

Nigerian artist Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has weighed in on Burna Boy’s recent controversy, defending the artist for sending out a sleeping couple from his show.

Terry G in a clip on his X handle, stated that people are only calling him out because he is a public figure. He claimed Burna’s reaction was valid as even church pastors will wake up sleeping members of a congregation during a church service.

The rapper also added that the couple found sleeping during the show could have affected the reputation of the artist and turnouts for live performances. He questioned the couple’s act adding that no one should attend a music show and fall asleep.

“Una too like to dey hold people accountable just because say dey don be public figure. If it happened in a church and someone was found sleeping, would the pastors not ask the ushers to wake them up, Because he’s musician, you are going to his show to sleep, so the camera can capture that moment and spoil his show,” he stated.
