The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Edo State chapter officially unveiled its coalition today, December 2, 2025, in a ceremony that underscored the party’s determination to strengthen its political presence in Edo State and the broader South-South region. This pivotal event took place in Edo State. The extremely packed event was hosted by the esteemed ADC Edo State Chairman, Hon. Kennedy Odion, who emphasised the importance of unity and strategic collaboration within the party.

The gathering featured key contributions from influential figures such as Hon. Dr Nosa-Ehima J.P., the Planning Committee Secretary, who articulated the coalition’s objectives, and Jafaru Sumaìna, who highlighted the need for grassroots connectivity. Other notable state executive members also participated, enhancing the collaborative spirit of the event.

Among the prominent South-South Zone executives in attendance was Festus Igbinoba, the ADC National Chief Whip, who played a crucial role in officially unveiling the coalition partnership His remarks focused on the necessity of synergy among party members to achieve shared goals. Usani Uguru Usani, the National Vice Chairman for the South-South region, sent in a heartfelt goodwill message, reinforcing the collective commitment to advancing the party’s agenda.

The event was further graced by distinguished leaders, including Prof. Oserheimen Osumbo, the National Legal Advisor and a pillar of strength within the party, who provided valuable insights on legal frameworks that empower the ADC’s initiatives. Mabel Oboh, the Assistant Publicity Secretary for the South-South Zone and a former governorship candidate for ADC in Edo, shared her vision for grassroots engagement and mobilisation.

Bright Honda, the Zonal Youth Leader, highlighted the importance of youthful participation in politics, advocating for increased opportunities for young people to take on leadership roles. The occasion was further enriched by the presence of esteemed political figures such as H.E. Odigie Oyegun, a revered ADC South-South leader, and Isaih Osifo, a key figure in ADC Edo’s leadership. The event also saw representation from notable leaders, including Ralph Okey Nwosu, ADC Founder and former National Chairman; David Mark, the ADC National Chairman; Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, ADC National Secretary; Sen. Andrew Uchendu, the Deputy National Chairman; and Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi.

The unveiling ceremony is seen as a defining moment for the ADC, signifying the party’s steadfast commitment to solidifying its political influence in Edo State.
