What Sheikh Gumi said about sponsors of Nigeria’s insecurity

Nigerian controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has said a prayer for the sponsors of insecurity in Nigeria. The cleric on his Facebook page on Thursday, declared that God’s wrath be on anyone benefiting from the terrorism attacks in the country.

Gumi, in his prayer, also asked that the sponsors of such evil act be exposed and punished.

“Ya Allah! Whoever initiated or is behind this insecurity and bloodbath in Nigeria, whether foreign or citizen, or has any benefit, material or otherwise, or is even happy that people are being killed, or willingly did nothing to stop it, may by Your divine power be exposed and Your anger poured upon them and punished immediately without harm to the innocent. Amin. Say Amin!,” he wrote.

The cleric’s post quickly stirred reactions from other users with some calling him out for sympathising with bandits. He, however, reacted to those comments, urging them to just say ‘Amin’ to the prayers he made.
