A suspected robber who allegedly attacked, poured fuel and set fire on on a female Point of Sale (PoS) operator with a view to steal the bag containing her money has been arrested in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State.

The spokesperson for Ebonyi Police Command, SP Joshua Ukandu, confirmed the arrest of the suspected robber on Friday in Abakaliki.

According to him, the suspect was apprehended before he could run away with the bag of money belonging to the POS operator.

He said police operatives rescued the lady and retrieved her money.
