Nigerian singer Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka popularly known as Chike, has opened up on some religious related experiences that shaped his view on religion.
The artist in an interview with VJ Adams, recalled an encounter he found uncomfortable in the church. He stated that he once witnessed a lady he used to have intimate relations with lead praise and worship. Although Chike did not judge the situation, he stated that the experience made him feel uncomfortable.
‘The chick that was leading the praise and worship, we had history. And I couldn’t… I’m like… I was having flashbacks. And she was kabashing, and I’m like… who’s that,” he stated.
Chike also revealed that the experience contributed to his exit from the church, adding that his exit did not however, affect his faith in God.
“Not because I don’t believe in God, because I do. So I don’t… Church is not for me. There are things that I like, that I would not be able to do. You just need to do right. By the people. Not necessarily leave a certain… Look, since I’m Christian, not certainly live a Christian life,” he stated.
