The shocking incident occurred on December 7 at the Delphino Picnic behind the Abuja Velodrome, where Blaqbonez performed alongside Runtown and Duncan Mighty.
A video shows a section of the audience booing and throwing objects toward the stage, abruptly disrupting his performance. The hostility peaked during his rendition of “ACL”, a track from his October album No Excuses.
Sources suggest the aggression may have been fueled by lingering tensions following Blaqbonez’s online clash with colleague Odumodublvck, as well as controversial remarks he recently made on social media.
Despite the chaos, Blaqbonez maintained composure and later took to Twitter to address the incident with his trademark humour:
“thought they could stop me from doing acl, i gave them 3 times 😂”
The event has triggered a flood of reactions, with many condemning the crowd’s behaviour:
Makyosu wrote: “Fans should respect artistes. Throwing objects is unacceptable.”
Nedafor wrote: “No one deserves to be treated like that on stage, even if you don’t like their music.”
Tundeoguns wrote: “Maybe the performance didn’t match the crowd, but violence is never the answer.”
Manueleze wrote: “Audience behaviour like this shows a lack of maturity and respect for entertainers.”
Sadebayo: “Blaqbonez bblahas the right to perform without fear of attacks from the audience.”
Ngozikachi: “Disliking a song is fine, but disrupting a show is crossing the line.”
Ifeanyiukwu: “Artistes put in hard work to perform; fans should support, not attack.”
