UCL: Mbappe doubtful for Manchester City clash

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe missed the team’s training session on Tuesday, creating uncertainty about his availability for Wednesday’s crucial UEFA Champions League match against Manchester City.

Football journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on X that “Kylian Mbappe didn’t train with the Real Madrid squad, and he’s a doubt to face Manchester City.”

Mbappe’s absence has raised concerns among fans and analysts, as he remains one of Madrid’s most important players this season. The club has not yet confirmed whether he is dealing with an injury or if the decision was only precautionary.

The French star has been in strong form, scoring 16 goals in La Liga and nine goals in the 2025/26 Champions League campaign.

Real Madrid are also under pressure after suffering a shock 2–0 home defeat to Celta Vigo on Sunday—their first home loss of the season and their first defeat to Celta in Madrid in 19 years.
