Accord Party screens, clears Adeleke for governorship primaries

Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has been screened and cleared to participate in the Accord governorship primary scheduled to hold today in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

The Chairman of the Screening Committee and National Organising Secretary of the party, Elder Ibe Thankgod, announced the development, stating that Governor Adeleke met all the requirements for nomination and participation in the exercise.

According to him, the committee reviewed all submitted documents and subsequently cleared the governor as the sole aspirant for the party’s governorship ticket.

He added that the committee had also concluded all formal documentation with relevant bodies.

Elder Thankgod thereafter presented a Certificate of Clearance to Governor Adeleke, describing him as a worthy aspirant capable of leading the party to electoral success.

In his remarks, Governor Adeleke expressed gratitude to the screening committee and the party’s leadership, reaffirming his readiness for both the primary and the 2026 governorship election.

“I am ready for the primary, and I am ready for the general elections. We are winning by God’s grace,” he said.

Other members of the screening committee include Abdurahaman Muhammed, Abdulahi Sani Muhammed, and Mrs. Awogbade Rachael.
