Fourteen players who took part in the last AFCON where Zambia did not make it past the group stage are also included.

Comoros and Zambia have released their final squads for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Morocco.

Comoros, the smallest country taking part in the competition, named a 26-man team made up mostly of players who play abroad, especially in France.

Coach Stefano Cusin included two new players, Amir Zaid and Kari Yannis, who both play in the French fourth division.

Seven players from their impressive 2021 AFCON run where they reached the Round of 16 are returning, including 36-year-old striker El Fardou Ben Nabouhane.

Comoros will start their AFCON campaign on 21 December in Rabat against the host nation, Morocco. They will also play Mali and Zambia in Group A.

Zambia announced a 28-man squad selected by coach Moses Sichone. The team includes four teenagers: 18-year-olds David Hamansenya and Eliya Mandanji, and 19-year-olds Joseph Liteta of Cagliari (Italy) and Joseph Sabobo Banda.

Fourteen players who took part in the last AFCON where Zambia did not make it past the group stage are also included.

Zambia will begin their tournament on 22 December in Casablanca against Mali, before facing Comoros and Morocco.

The team has already left Lusaka for their training camp in Murcia, Spain.
