Petrol now N699 as Dangote continues aggressive price cuts

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has implemented another price slash, trimming its petrol gantry rate from N828 to N699 per litre.

Updated figures on Petroleumprice.ng on Friday confirmed the new rate, reflecting a N129 drop and signalling a 15.5 per cent reduction in the cost of petrol.

The revised price came into effect on 11 December 2025.

Below are  price reductions Dangote has effected this year.

1. 1 February 2025 – Petrol gantry price cut from ₦950 to ₦890 per litre.
2.    27 February 2025 – Further reduction from ₦890 to ₦825 per litre.

3.  14 March 2025 – Price lowered again from ₦825 to ₦815 per litre.

4.  10 April 2025 – Price cut to ₦865 per litre from a slightly higher rate

5.  16 April 2025 – Another reduction to ₦835 per litre (second cut within the week).

6.    22 May 2025 – Retail prices were cut (market-level adjustment tied to refinery pricing).

7.  12 August 2025 – Gantry price trimmed to ₦820 per litre.

8.  11 December 2025 – Latest cut to ₦699 per litre.
