Nigerian fashion designer Ruth Erikan James, popularly known as Veekee James, has announced that her husband is not allowed to have a female best friend.
While speaking with VJ Adams, Veekee James who tied the knot to Femi Atere in 2024, stated that she is not against men having female best friends.
She, however, noted that her husband cannot have a best friend as she would rather be his best friend.
“A man can have but my own man can never have. Femi Atere can never have a female best friend,” she said.
The fashion designer’s statement quickly sparked reactions from other users. Some agreed with her statement while other claimed that she was ‘doing too much’.
