Victor Osimhen was on the scoresheet as Galatasaray produced a ruthless attacking display to overwhelm Antalyaspor 4–1 in their Turkish Super Lig encounter on Saturday.

The Nigerian striker capped a dominant performance by the reigning champions, who took control early and never relinquished their grip on the contest, showcasing depth, pace and precision in attack.

Galatasaray set the tone inside the opening minutes, pressing aggressively and carving out early chances. Their dominance paid off in the seventh minute when Leroy Sané latched onto a precise pass inside the box and calmly fired home to give the visitors the lead.

Just four minutes later, Roland Sallai doubled the advantage with a stunning strike from the edge of the area, converting a perfectly weighted through ball from Barış Alper Yılmaz to leave Antalyaspor reeling.

Osimhen, who had already forced a fine save with a solo effort, finally got his reward in the 56th minute.

The former Napoli striker dribbled confidently into the box before drilling a low, unstoppable shot into the bottom corner, extending Galatasaray’s lead to 3–0 and underlining his growing influence in Turkey.

Antalyaspor briefly found a lifeline in the 69th minute when Sander van de Streek reacted quickest to a rebound from a corner to pull one back, raising hopes of a comeback.

Any such optimism was swiftly extinguished in stoppage time. Mauro Icardi, introduced from the bench, combined neatly with Sané before coolly finishing from the edge of the box to restore Galatasaray’s three-goal cushion and seal a comprehensive victory.

Despite picking up a late booking, Osimhen’s all-round performance marked by intelligent movement, physical presence and a well-taken goal, stood out as Galatasaray tightened their grip near the top of the Super Lig table.
