Laura Ikeji expresses outrage over ‘Detty December’ price hike

Nigerian beauty entrepreneur Laura Ikeji Kanu has expressed her outrage over the sudden hike in price in various industries in Nigeria.

The beauty influencer on her Instagram page, spoke about the sudden increase in service providers’ fees, stating that the country has been overrun by greed.

Laura also complained about the narrative Nigerians service providers have, stating that most people that come to Nigeria to experience ‘Detty December’ are regular workers who work hard and save towards the festivities.

“We are a greedy nation. We will ruin Detty December with our hands, I sell the most during December, but I’m not a greedy person, we are greedy. Tell me why somebody will be asked to pay 250 thousand Naira to braid hair. You think people who live abroad are billionaires, they are not. They are people like you,” she said in part.
