President Bola Tinubu has arrived the National Assembly to present the 2026 budget. The President accompanied by some of his aides and ministers and chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, arrived at the National Assembly some minutes after 3 pm.

The presentation kicked off with the Senate President Godswill Akpabio delivering the opening statement.

After the presentation by Akpabio, Tinubu began the presentation of the budget, saying it is good to be back to a familiar terrain.

The Senate had yesterday received President Bola Tinubu’s letter seeking to present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to the joint session of the National Assembly on Friday.

The letter was read by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, during plenary

In the letter, Tinubu, in his capacity as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, will present the proposed 2026 budget at 2:00 p.m.

The budget presentation marks the formal transmission of the Federal Government’s fiscal proposals to the National Assembly for legislative consideration and approval.
