Fans worry over Lil Wayne’s cryptic post
Fans of rap legend Lil Wayne expressed concern on Sunday after the rapper shared a cryptic tweet: “That one hurt. Fr”, shorthand for “for real.”
The brief message left fans scrambling for context. Many took to social media to express worry and seek clarification. One user, @NJscriptwriter, wrote: “Hope everything is good… altho without context I don’t know what level the hurt is. Anyone know?” Another commented: “That must’ve stung real bad,” while others asked: “Who broke Mr. Carter’s heart? 💔”
Some fans speculated that Wayne’s mood could be linked to his NFL team losing a game the previous day, though no confirmation has been given. Whatever the reason, followers say the rapper will need to clear the air soon.
Away from his post, Jae Millz, a former signee to his label opened up on his time with the rapper. Last week, Millz explained why he signed with Lil Wayne and the Young Mula deal, highlighting their collaboration on “Holla At A Playa (Remix)” as a key moment. He recalled that Wayne personally flew him to Miami after seeing his rap battles, believing in his talent even before hearing his music. “Wayne did sht for me that nobody else ever did,”* Millz said.
He also shared a humorous story about being cursed out by Wayne for missing the iconic line “Real Gs move in silence like lasagna” from 6 Foot, 7 Foot. Millz said he eventually left Young Money to pursue his own growth and career path.
