Nollywood actress Anita Joseph has confirmed that her marriage to Fisayo “MC Fish” Michael has ended.
The actress made the disclosure on Instagram on Tuesday, ending months of speculation surrounding the state of their marriage, which began in 2020.
In a direct post, Anita wrote, “Calling a spade a spade, my marriage is over,” putting to rest rumours that had trailed the couple in recent months.
There had been reports alleging that the marriage was plagued by several challenges, including infidelity, domestic violence and substance abuse, claims which MC Fish has previously denied. Other reports also alleged that the actress suffered pregnancy losses during the troubled period.
Until now, Anita had largely avoided addressing the rumours, only assuring fans at different times that she was fine.
Reflecting on the situation, the actress described the experience as a painful but reflective phase of her life.
“Life has a way of testing our strength in ways we never expect, especially in marriage,” she wrote.
She added that she is currently in a season of healing and self-discovery, choosing to move forward with grace, growth and faith.
“I may not have all the answers, but I’m choosing grace, growth and faith — one step at a time,” she stated.
Anita Joseph and MC Fish tied the knot in 2020, and their relationship has often attracted public attention due to their outspoken personalities on social media
