Popular comedian and content creator Carter Efe has seen his Twitch account temporarily suspended.

The move comes just days after a historic livestream with Afrobeats legend Davido, which saw Efe shatter records across the continent.

On Monday, December 22, 2025, Twitch officially deactivated Efe’s channel, citing violations of its Terms of Service (ToS) and Community Guidelines. While the specific breach was not detailed by the platform, the timing has shocked the digital entertainment community.

Only a week prior, on December 17, Carter Efe hosted a collaborative stream with Davido that set the Nigerian internet ablaze.

The session was a massive success, propelling Efe to the top of the charts as Africa’s most-followed Twitch streamer, with a following exceeding 405,000.
