The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, has ordered the massive deployment of personnel for traffic control and other operational duties during and after the festive period.

The Ogun State Police Command has intensified proactive security measures across the state to ensure a peaceful Christmas and festive season.

Joint forces, operational assets and a large number of personnel have been deployed, with strengthened patrols along major highways and strategic locations to safeguard lives and property.

As part of these efforts, the Command conducted a robust joint show of force in collaboration with the Lagos and Oyo State Police Commands, the military, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other sister security agencies, particularly along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.

The coordinated operation involved the deployment of patrol vehicles, tactical teams and intelligence assets to reinforce security presence, reassure the public and deter criminal activity. Special attention is being given to key routes, notably the Sagamu–Ijebu Ode Road, where coordinated joint operations with sister agencies are ongoing to ensure the safe movement of people, goods and travellers before, during and after the Yuletide celebrations, while maintaining law and order across the state.
