Popular skitmaker and musician Oluwafemi Oladipo, better known as Slimcase, has issued a formal apology to the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA).
The apology follows the unauthorized use of the agency’s official uniform and a waste disposal truck in one of his recent video skits.
In a statement released via his Instagram page on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, Slimcase took full responsibility for the oversight, clarifying that the content was entirely his idea and not a collaboration with the agency.
Addressing the intent behind the video, Slimcase explained that the skit was designed to celebrate essential workers and the importance of waste management.
“My sole objective was to create creative content intended to promote the dignity of labour and to emphasize that every profession, including waste management, is noble, valuable, and deserving of respect,” the entertainer stated.
He further emphasized that the video was never meant to ridicule, embarrass, or demean LAWMA staff or the Lagos State Government.
Following concerns raised regarding the unauthorized use of government property and branding, Slimcase confirmed that the video was pulled down from all his social media platforms on December 8, 2025.
