Taylor Swift makes history with new milestone

American singer and song-writer Taylor Swift has made history with her latest album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’. The album, which was released in October has marked its 10th consecutive week atop the Billboard 200 chart.

The album is the fourth of Taylor’s project to mark such a feat, making Taylor the first woman to have four albums spend at least 10 weeks at the top of the list since Billboard.

While speaking with New Heights about her 12th studio album, Taylor likened the experience of making the album, to catching lightening in a bottle.She added that she believes it is one of her best works yet.

“It’s a record I made with my mentor Max Martin and Shellback. We’ve never made an album before where it’s just the three of us, there’s no other collaborators. It’s just the three of us making a focused album. It felt like catching lightning in a bottle, honestly. I know I’m putting pressure on this album by saying that. But I don’t care ‘cause I love it that much. It comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in my life,” she stated.
