Jumia unveils December holiday sale with nationwide festive bargains

Jumia Nigeria has kicked off its much-anticipated December Holiday Sale, rolling out weeks of festive discounts and special offers for shoppers nationwide from December 2 to December 28.

The campaign extends beyond routine end-of-year promotions with the introduction of a culturally inspired sub-series, “Celebrate Naija / Naija is Game,” scheduled to run from December 15 to January 18. The themed activation draws on distinctly Nigerian experiences and storytelling, adding local flavour and relevance to the holiday shopping season.

Shoppers can expect a broad mix of value-driven offerings throughout the sale period, including the popular 12 Days of Christmas deals, exclusive Brand Days, and heavily discounted Anchor Deals spanning multiple product categories.

Commenting on the initiative, Temidayo Ojo, Chief Executive Officer of Jumia Nigeria, said the campaign underscores the company’s focus on aligning with the priorities of Nigerian consumers.

According to him, the December Holiday Sale is designed to help customers celebrate the season without sacrificing quality or convenience.

He noted that Nigerian shoppers are increasingly value-conscious, seeking a balance of affordability, reliability, and ease of access-elements the campaign aims to deliver in full.

Ojo added that the strong momentum generated during Black Friday has been sustained, allowing customers to enjoy extended savings throughout the festive period.

On the creative vision behind the campaign, Lere Awokoya, Chief Marketing Officer of Jumia Nigeria, explained that the 2025 holiday sale draws inspiration from everyday moments that resonate with customers.

She said the “Celebrate Naija” concept captures the joy of giving and the importance of daily value, brought to life through culturally relevant themes that appeal across regions and lifestyles.

Awokoya added that the platform has carefully curated a wide range of products, from essential household items to aspirational purchases, to meet diverse customer needs.

During the sale, shoppers can access deals across key categories such as electronics, home and kitchen, fashion, beauty and personal care, and everyday essentials, supported by seamless online price discovery and Jumia’s extensive logistics network.
