The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo

Quick Read

The redeployments affect directorate-level positions within the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).

The aviation sector has witnessed fresh management movements following the approval of a minor reshuffle by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo.

The redeployments affect directorate-level positions within the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).

The changes, conveyed through the Director-General of the NCAA, Capt. Chris Najomo, are part of routine administrative adjustments aimed at strengthening oversight and improving coordination across aviation agencies.

Under the reshuffle, Engineer Godwin Gyang Balang has been reassigned from the Directorate of Aerodromes and Airspace Standards to the Directorate of Airworthiness Standards at the NCAA. His new role places him in charge of critical aircraft safety and maintenance compliance functions.

In another move, Alhaji Ahmad Abba has been transferred from NAMA to the NCAA as Director of Aerodromes Safety Standards. He previously served in NAMA’s Directorate of Special Duties and is expected to bring operational experience to airport safety regulation.

Meanwhile, the former Director of Aerodromes Safety Standards at the NCAA has been redeployed to NAMA’s Directorate of Special Duties, in a move seen as promoting cross-agency collaboration and knowledge sharing.
