VDM in trouble as Pastor Okafor reveals next move over ‘fake daughter’ claims

Senior Pastor Chris Okafor of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries has threatened to take legal action against social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, over alleged defamation and false claims circulated online.

The warning, issued through Okafor’s legal team, follows reports and social media posts claiming that Okafor allegedly abandoned his family and neglected his parental responsibilities. The posts were reportedly made by Verydarkman and a woman identifying herself as Miss Chi, who claims to be the pastor’s biological daughter.

Okafor’s lawyers described the claims as false, misleading, and defamatory, emphasizing that the pastor has never abandoned any spouse or child. They explained that DNA tests conducted years ago conclusively established that Miss Chi and her sibling are not biologically related to Pastor Okafor.

Despite this, Pastor Chris Okafor has continued to support the children’s education and welfare as a gesture of goodwill, a fact his legal team says has been misrepresented as acknowledgment of paternity.

The statement further accused Verydarkman of cyber harassment, incitement, and spreading malicious content, and warned that further violations could lead to court action.

Okafor’s legal team formally demanded:

Immediate retraction of all false statements and an apology published in two national newspapers.

Cessation of any claims implying familial ties with Pastor Okafor.

Submission of the alleged children for a DNA test at a mutually agreed facility if the previous certificate is unavailable.

Removal of all online content linking Pastor Okafor to paternity or abandonment claims.

The lawyers concluded that ongoing public portrayal of Miss Chi and her sibling as Okafor’s children is misleading, injurious, and unacceptable, and warned that failure to comply would prompt legal proceedings.
