“The Inspiration FM family praise jam gets bigger year by year. This year was even bigger than last year, which itself was larger than the year before, and it keeps building from there. So, naturally, we expect next year to be even bigger,” Osumuli said.

Families from across Lagos turned out in joyful numbers on Friday as the 2025 Inspiration FM Christmas Praise Jam transformed the Harvesters International Christian Center into a vibrant arena of music, worship and celebration.

The annual event, which has become a major fixture on the festive calendar, drew a large crowd of families who gathered in high spirits to mark the season with songs of praise and thanksgiving.

From early hours, the atmosphere reflected anticipation and excitement, as worshippers filled the auditorium, underscoring the growing appeal of the Praise Jam.

The celebration featured stirring gospel performances from leading music ministries, including Lilian Nneji, Mike Abdul, and others, whose powerful ministrations kept attendees on their feet for hours. With hands raised and voices lifted, families worshipped together in an environment described by many as uplifting and deeply refreshing.

Speaking with journalists at the venue, Azubike Osumili, Chief Executive Officer of Inspiration 92.3 FM, said the steady growth of the event reflects its impact on families and the wider community.

“The Inspiration FM family praise jam gets bigger year by year. This year was even bigger than last year, which itself was larger than the year before, and it keeps building from there. So, naturally, we expect next year to be even bigger,” Osumili said.

He observed that the sheer turnout and infectious energy at the venue spoke volumes about the event’s popularity, noting that the packed car park and enthusiastic crowd were clear indicators of its reach. However, he stressed that beyond the impressive numbers, the focus remained on delivering a memorable experience.

According to him, the Praise Jam kept people on their feet for more than three hours, with the venue “alive, vibrant, and rocking” as worshippers came together to praise God through music. He also highlighted the calibre of performances on display, describing them as powerful and uplifting.

“We also had stand-up comedians who are faith-based. In this case, they don’t tell those jokes you don’t like to hear. It was just a fantastic event,” Osumili stressed.

Reiterating the broader mission of Inspiration FM, the CEO said the station’s vision extends beyond radio broadcasting. He explained that the Praise Jam provides an avenue for listeners to meet, connect and strengthen community bonds.

He pointed to programmes such as the award-winning Sharing Life Issues, which focus on family challenges, relationships and building strong family units, describing the family as the cornerstone of society.

“The people who listen to that show and have benefited from those relationships are here today, and for them, it’s simply a time of Thanksgiving.

“They are connecting with the presenters they hear and the messages they receive, experiencing it live at an event filled with music and spirit. Essentially, this is what we do — we touch the lives of our listeners, not just on the radio, but also outside of it on days like this,” Osumili noted.

As the final notes faded and families departed with smiles and songs still on their lips, the 2025 Inspiration FM Christmas Praise Jam once again affirmed its place as a unifying celebration of faith, family and community in Lagos.
