Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has warmed hearts online after sharing loved-up Christmas photos with her colleague Odobodobo Motolani.
The mother of three took to social media on Christmas Day to post cosy images of herself and Motolani dressed in matching pyjamas, radiating holiday cheer. Captioning the post, Bakare kept it simple and uplifting: “This Christmas. Love conquers.”
Motolani also shared photos from the same moment, revealing that he had expected to spend the season alone before Bakare’s surprise appearance. “Thought it’s gonna be a lonely Christmas. But hey, my baby showed up last night. Guess who she is? An actress and a politician. Merry Christmas, family,” he wrote.
The festive exchange quickly set tongues wagging, with fans celebrating the pair while speculating about the nature of their relationship.
This is not the first time Bakare has spoken openly about love. In 2023, she unveiled a mystery man on Instagram while describing love as a beautiful experience and encouraging her followers to give it another chance. She later advised fans to have the courage to embrace love again despite past disappointments.a
However, the actress has also been clear about setting boundaries around speculation. In a previous exchange with a social media troll who questioned her relationship choices, Bakare defended herself firmly, stating that she is financially independent. She later clarified that she remains unmarried, noting that the man she frequently appeared with in videos was simply a colleague.
Bakare has been married twice in the past. Her first marriage to U.S.-based businessman Olumide Okunfulure produced a daughter, Simi, while her second marriage to Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo resulted in two sons. Both unions eventually ended.
