Police investigating the fatal stabbing of 15-year-old Adam Henry in Islington have raided a home in North West London and made five arrests.

Detectives located and arrested 22-year-old Abdel Dedour on Boxing Day following a two-week manhunt and public appeal, MyLondon reports.

Four others within the property, three men and a woman aged between 18 and 47, were detained for assisting an offender, the online magazine reports.

The Met Police have not released any more information regarding the location of the property.

A 47-year-old woman was further arrested after an assault on a police officer while one of the three men, a 39-year-old, was further arrested for domestic violence and driving offences. All five remain in police custody.

The arrests come after Adam was fatally stabbed in Westbourne Road, Islington at 1pm on December 9. Police attended alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, who later transferred Adam to hospital, where he sadly died. His family continue to be supported by specialist officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with Adam’s loved ones throughout this unimaginably difficult time. There is no place for senseless acts of violence on our streets – and those responsible for such crimes should be brought to justice.

“My dedicated team have worked tirelessly over the last few weeks. Dedour tried many ways to evade capture, but thanks to the efforts of officers, we are now one step closer to securing justice.”

In a written statement released after his death, Adam’s family said they will never get over the ‘senseless tragedy’. It reads: “Our beautiful son, Adam, was cruelly taken away from us. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, friend and we will never recover from the loss and not having him in our lives.

“He had many interests and was always there with a smile and cheeky sense of humour. He was good natured and loyal. While only 15 years old, the beautiful memories we have of him can never be forgotten.”

Tsidi Winion, 20, of Handyside Street, Camden, was charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon on Monday, 15 December. The investigation continues.
