Shettima attended the ceremony on behalf of President Bola Tinubu, drawing national attention to the high-profile event that brought together governors, federal officials and party leaders.
Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, received the Vice President alongside Akume and other dignitaries at the colourful wedding reception.
The union is between Samuel Aondoakura and Deborah Ershima, daughter of a prominent engineer, Msula Atoga.
Confirming Shettima’s presence, the Vice President’s spokesman, Stanley Nkwocha, said the ceremony reflected the importance of family and unity, noting that the event attracted influential personalities from across the country.
The wedding comes barely days after Akume publicly appeared with his wife, Zaynab Ngohemba, during his 72nd birthday celebration, sparking renewed public interest in the SGF’s family life.
Zaynab, a former wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, was previously married in 2016 before the union ended in 2017. She later relocated abroad and focused on philanthropic activities
