Late Nollywood actress Allwell Ademola had, years before her death, shared a deeply emotional account of how she lost the love of her life just months before their wedding, a tragedy that pushed her into long isolation and grief.

In a throwback revelation that has resurfaced following her passing, Ademola disclosed that she was set to get married in February 2006, but her fiancé was killed in December 2005, barely weeks to their big day.

According to the actress, the incident happened while she was on the phone with him.

“I was set to be married to my fiancé in February 2006, but he passed December 2005,” she said.

“I was heartbroken and devastated. I was on the phone with him when it happened.”

Ademola explained that the shocking loss left her emotionally broken and withdrawn from the world for a long time.

“He was shot while he was speaking to me on the phone, and that was it,” she said.

“I was sad for a long time because I was too consumed by my isolation.”

The actress, however, revealed that her healing came from an unexpected place, a movie song.

“One day, I heard a song from a movie, and it was that movie that took me out of my isolation,” she said.

The late actress’s story has drawn renewed attention following her death, with fans describing her as a woman who carried deep pain quietly while continuing her craft in Nollywood.

Allwell Ademola, who died last week at the age of 43, was known for her strong screen presence and emotional depth — qualities many now link to the personal heartbreak she once endured
