Social media in frenzy over alleged childbirth by late Mohbad’s wife

Nigerians online have reacted to the rumors of Late Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, giving birth, two years after the death of the singer.

The reports spread online shortly after Wunmi was banned by Mohbad’s family from using their surname. Netizens online, reacted to the rumors, noting that Mohbad’s body is still in the morgue and hasn’t been properly laid to rest.

Nollywood actor Stanley Ontop, on his Instagram page, expressed his shock and disbelief towards the news. He urged men to endeavour to live long, stating that women will move on regardless.

“Mohbad died in 2023 Him wife give birth in 2025? What God can not do does not exist! Clap hand for Jesus. Anyways in life as a man try not to kpai, no matter what. Life goes on Anyways congratulations iyawo Mohbad,” he wrote.

Other users also reacted to the report. One user claimed that if the news is true, then it is proof that women are ruthless.

”If the News about Mohbad wife allegedly giving birth is through, then know that women are ruthless in all their ways. To be able to deal with women, you’ve to be very ruthless. Don’t die because of any woman,” he wrote.

Another user noted that the reports may be fake, noting that people spread rumors to farm engagements.

”I won’t be surprised if it’s later found out that the story of the late Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, giving birth was a hoax. There is nothing these guys can’t tweet all in the name of hustling engagements for Elon Musk’s money,” he wrote.
