“I’ve moved on from Davido,” Sophia Momodu warns fans

Nigerian entrepreneur Sophia Momodu, the first baby mama of Afrobeats star Davido, has cautioned fans and content creators against referring to her as the singer’s wife.

Momodu made the appeal in a video currently circulating on social media, where she expressed displeasure over being addressed as Davido’s wife despite the fact that they ended their relationship years ago and the singer is now married.

According to her, continued references linking her to Davido as a spouse show a lack of respect for personal boundaries and existing marriages.

She narrated an encounter with a content creator who reportedly hailed her as “Mama Imade, OBO’s wife,” a moment she described as shocking and inappropriate.

“I was surprised because I am not his wife,” she said. “Stop referring to me as Davido’s wife. Let’s respect people’s marriages and rules.”

Momodu stressed that she has moved on with her life and urged fans to do the same, noting that everyone involved is happy and focused on their respective paths.

“If people have moved on, allow them to move on in peace,” she added.
