Kinsmen of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, have endorsed Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, for a second term in office.

The Eneka people of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Wike’s hometown, made the declaration on Tuesday during the 2025 Eneka Day Celebration at State Primary School One, Eneka.

The event, themed “Unity: Our Strength for Progress,” attracted community leaders, traditional rulers, and residents from all eleven communities in the clan.

Speaking on behalf of the clan, Chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC), Mr. Lawson Chukwu, reaffirmed the people’s loyalty to Fubara, commending his administration’s development efforts and appealing for attention to the community’s internal roads.

He also requested the upgrade of the Eneka traditional stool from second-class to first-class status, emphasizing its importance for cultural heritage and unity.

Senator John Azuta-Mbata, political leader of the Eneka Clan and President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, described Fubara as the only governor of the state and pledged the continued friendship and support of the clan.

Governor Fubara, responding to the endorsement, thanked the Eneka people for their show of unity and assured them that his administration would prioritize the restoration of internal roads damaged during flyover construction.

He also directed the Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Community Affairs to commence the process for upgrading the Eneka traditional stool.

“A peaceful and united community makes it easier for the government to deliver meaningful development without internal conflict,” Fubara said, urging residents to sustain their unity.
