Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been thrown into mourning following the death of her brother, who passed away on Monday.
The Nigerian international announced the sad news via her Instagram page, where she shared emotional videos showing her late brother proudly holding her CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award at the ceremony in Morocco.
In a heartfelt tribute, Nnadozie wrote:
“Forever in my heart, big brother. Your laughter echoes in my soul. The bond we shared can’t be broken by time or distance. Your spirit guides us. Losing you is a pain like no other, but I’ll honour your life by living mine with courage.
Every star holds your light; every memory, a treasure. My rock, my friend, my guide. Rest easy, my brother.”
Following the post, teammates, fans and football stakeholders flooded social media with messages of condolence.
Super Falcons defender, Michelle Alozie, wrote, “May God be with you and your whole family.”
