Nigerian-American rapper, Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, popularly known as Wale, has opened up on his relationship with Nigerian Afrobeats star, Wizkid.

While speaking during a livestream with Carter Efe, the rapper claimed that he once played important roles in Wizkid’s life and career.  He stated that he once housed Wizkid, adding that he took him to his first BET Awards show.

Wale also stated that he is on good terms with the Afrobeats star, referring to him as his ‘boy’.

“I have been following Nigerian music, there are so many Nigerian artists that I like listening to. I don’t know some of them but I like listening to their music. There are some I know personally like Wizkid. Me and Wizkid have been cool for almost 10 years now. I remember taking him to his first BET Awards show. That is my boy. I once accommodated him at Beverly Hills for a whole summer. We were just writing music. We made a lot of songs together like ‘Drop for me’,” he explained.
