Emotional moment as Opeyemi Aiyeola gives Jamiu Azeez another chance

Nollywood actor Jamiu Azeez has expressed deep joy and gratitude after his senior colleague and mother figure, Opeyemi Aiyeola, finally forgave him following a period of estrangement.

The actor shared the emotional update via his Instagram page, describing the reconciliation as his “best gift of 2025.”

Recall that earlier this month, Azeez publicly apologised to Aiyeola, admitting that he had hurt her deeply and acknowledging the significant role she played in his life and career. He had noted that he could not tell his story without her name being boldly written in it.

Announcing the forgiveness, Azeez thanked friends, fans, and colleagues who pleaded on his behalf, while also appreciating industry veterans who intervened to reconcile both parties.

He showered praises on Aiyeola, describing her as his sister, mother, boss, mentor, number one fan, cheerleader, and favourite person, while thanking her for giving him another chance.

In an emotional message, the actor said he had learned his lessons the hard way and expressed sincere remorse for his actions, adding prayers for her well-being and continued success.

“My sister has forgiven her boy. This is my best gift of 2025,” he wrote.
