Stefon Diggs faces criminal charges following alleged assault incident

Stefon Diggs, an American  professional footballer and father to Cardi B’s fourth child is facing multiple criminal charges after an alleged assault incident.

The New England Patriots wide receiver is said to be facing charges of felony, strangulation and misdemeanor assault. Although, the details of the incident have not been disclosed, Diggs is scheduled to the arraigned in court on the 23rd of January 2026.

The management of his club released a statement after the police report was publicised. They revealed that Diggs has their full support despite the allegations made.

”Stefon has informed the organization that he categorically denies the allegations. We support Stefon. We will continue to gather information and will cooperate fully with the appropriate authorities and the NFL as necessary. Out of respect for all parties involved, and given that this is an ongoing legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time,” they stated.

Stefon Diggs has also publicly denied all allegations levied against him.
