Nancy Isime goes silent as 2026 begins

Nollywood actress and media personality Nancy Isime has announced that she is taking a break from social media as the new year begins.

The actress made this known via her Instagram page while wishing her millions of followers a Happy New Year. According to her, the decision to log off social media is intentional and aimed at prioritising her happiness and inner peace.

In her message, Isime revealed that 2026 had already begun for her in Mauritius, where she is currently spending time. She expressed optimism about the new year, describing it as “the year of our dreams,” before announcing her temporary social media exit.

“Aii, time to log off social media till further notice, as usual. Let me focus on my happiness and peace,” she wrote, adding that she would reconnect with fans when the time feels right.

The actress also reflected on her personal growth and journey in the movie industry, recounting the challenges she has faced and the discipline that drives her work ethic. She noted that her commitment to hard work allows her to be self-sufficient and confident, without fear of losing benefits tied to any relationship.

Isime recently celebrated her birthday, marking the end of what she described as a transitional year. In a heartfelt note to herself, she said she had learned valuable lessons and was excited about stepping into a new chapter of her life.

To commemorate her birthday, the actress hosted an end-of-the-year party for pupils and staff of Methodist Primary Schools in Ikorodu, Lagos. Sharing moments from the event online, she disclosed that the gesture has been a personal tradition since she turned 21, making it 13 consecutive years of giving back.

She expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to be surrounded by love and to share joy with others on her special day.
