The Chairman of Agbeyewa Farms, Niyi John Olajide, has restated the company’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s agricultural value chain, expanding job creation opportunities, and deepening community impact as the agribusiness moves into 2026.
In his New Year message, Olajide expressed gratitude and renewed optimism, noting that agriculture — when implemented with purpose and strategic investment — has the capacity to transform lives, livelihoods and rural economies.
He explained that 2026 presents a pivotal opportunity for Agbeyewa Farms to scale its operations, strengthen local production systems, and further position agribusiness as a catalyst for inclusive growth and shared prosperity.
According to him, Agbeyewa Farms’ operations in Ekiti State are designed not only to cultivate crops, but to demonstrate the potential of a fully integrated agricultural value chain to drive economic renewal, restore dignity to work, and enable sustainable livelihoods.
“We are here in Ekiti State not simply to farm, but to build a strong cassava value chain that supports cultivation, aggregation, processing and agro-trading — creating value at every stage of production,” Olajide stated.
He noted that this end-to-end approach continues to create opportunities for farmers, processors, transporters, youth, and entrepreneurs across the agricultural ecosystem.
Olajide emphasised that job creation remains central to the company’s mission, particularly in enabling dignified and sustainable employment that empowers young Nigerians to see agriculture as a credible pathway to economic mobility and long-term opportunity.
Looking ahead to 2026, he revealed that Agbeyewa Farms will increase its investment in people through skills development initiatives, stronger partnerships with smallholder farmers, and the expansion of operational capacity across the value chain.
He added that the company will also deepen its footprint in Ekiti State, enhance processing capability, and lay the foundation for future expansion into new locations — guided by its commitment to leave every host community better than it was met.
Olajide appreciated the organisation’s employees, partners, host communities and the media for their trust and continued support, stating that their confidence reinforces Agbeyewa Farms’ dedication to responsible growth and operational excellence.
“The journey ahead is promising, and together, we will continue to create value, deliver lasting impact, and inspire the next generation,” he said.
He concluded by extending his best wishes for a prosperous New Year.
