Nigerian pastor Harrison Anyintete has reacted to the testimony given by Afrobeats singer Skales, during a crossover service at Harvesters.

The pastor on his X handle, spoke about the testimony, stating that it did not promote spiritual growth and maturity.

Anyintete added that churches should not allow such testimonies in their church, stressing that it sends the wring message and narrative to the younger generation

“Dear @youngskales , since you reached me privately, you and I don’t have a relationship so I don’t think we should have a private chat. The conversation is not even about you, naturally, I don’t think you are a serious believer, thus the issue is not your issue. The issue is really about your local church. I honestly think they shouldn’t project your testimony on SHAKE BODY, it doesn’t enable spiritual growth, devotion or maturity. Your testimony does not inspire Godliness,” he wrote.

Anyintete added that his criticism of the testimony was not a personal attack to the singer. He emphasised that he has no personal issues with Skales.

“I don’t have any issues with you dear brother. If you gave that testimony on your own platform, it is really not my business, i believe you have the right to enjoy the fruit of your labour, it is your labour. However, if your music that promoted immorality has succeeded, your church shouldn’t have projected that as testimony, it will only make more younger people do immoral music and immoral things while seeking God’s blessings on it. It is the very wrong example,” he added.
