The Super Eagles have moved swiftly to shut down reports of unrest in camp following an on-field exchange between Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman during Nigeria’s 4–0 win over Mozambique at the 2025 1XBET Africa Cup of Nations.

PM News gathered that the brief remonstration between the two forwards was handled internally, with team officials confirming that all issues have been resolved.

A source within the Super Eagles camp described reports suggesting lingering tension or a possible exit from camp as false and misleading, stressing that the matter has been put behind the team.

“There is no problem in the camp. Everything has been settled internally and the players are fully focused on the tournament,” the source said.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to hold a recovery session in Fès on Tuesday, with 26 players expected to take part in training.

Defender Ryan Alebiosu, who is nursing an injury, will, however, continue his rehabilitation programme and is not expected to train fully with the squad for now.

Nigeria remains in high spirits after the emphatic victory over Mozambique, with the coaching crew insisting that unity and focus remain strong within the camp as preparations continue for the next phase of the competition.
