Oladips finally apologises to Reminisce after years of bitter feud

After years of public fallout, diss tracks and unresolved tension, Nigerian rapper Oladips has finally tendered a heartfelt apology to his former label boss, Reminisce, bringing a long-running industry feud to a possible close.
The rapper made the apology in a recently released single, Iba Paris 26, where he openly admitted his mistakes and expressed regret over how their relationship ended.
According to Oladips, he had made several attempts to reach out privately to Reminisce over the years but was unsuccessful, forcing him to use music to seek reconciliation.
“I tried to make contact severally but it didn’t work. This is me saying it openly,” Oladips said in the track.
Oladips was signed to LRR/EDGE Records, the record label owned by Reminisce, early in his career. The partnership initially showed promise, but things quickly went sour.
In 2019, Oladips publicly accused the label of neglect and financial hardship, claiming that despite having popular songs, he struggled to survive while under the contract. He alleged that attempts to exit the label were met with resistance, sparking tension between both parties.
The rapper later removed all references to LRR from his social media pages and released songs widely interpreted as direct shots at Reminisce, accusing the rapper of exploiting him and making life difficult during his time on the label.
Those releases marked the beginning of a bitter fallout that played out publicly through interviews, social media posts and music.
Although Reminisce largely stayed silent, the tension lingered for years. In 2022, the feud resurfaced after lyrics from Reminisce were interpreted by fans as indirect jabs at former signees, prompting Oladips to respond musically.
By then, the beef had stretched for over five years, becoming one of the most talked-about label fallouts in Nigerian hip-hop circles.
Oladips also claimed at various times that the fallout affected his standing in the industry, alleging that his issues with Reminisce influenced his relationships with other top artistes.
In his latest release, however, Oladips struck a noticeably different tone, one of humility and reflection. He admitted that time, growth and personal struggles had changed his perspective, leading him to seek peace rather than prolong hostility.
