Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has denied claims that she abuses hard drugs, saying a drug test she recently took cleared her of the allegations.

The actress spoke on Wednesday via her Instagram page, breaking her silence after months of intense public scrutiny and personal turmoil.

Regina said the past few months had been emotionally draining, describing the period as one that almost overwhelmed her, but noted that she survived through the support of family, friends and fans.

According to her, she decided to undergo a drug test to clear her name and to reassure those who believe in her.

“I took this test because I owe it to the people who stood by me, the people who love me and those who look up to me. Integrity matters. Accountability matters. Peace of mind especially matters,” she said.

Addressing rumours that she was a drug addict, Regina dismissed the claims as baseless, adding that they forced her to reflect deeply on herself.

“One thing that echoed loudly across the media was that ‘Regina is a drug addict.’ I looked at myself again and again, searching for this so-called addict. That’s when it hit me, people often project their fears and negativity on others. But projection is not reality,” she stated.

She stressed that she chose to define her own narrative rather than be shaped by public opinion.

“The same mouth that was used to spoil my name is the same mouth that will build it back up,” she added.

Regina said the experience has ushered her into a new phase of self-discovery, growth and intentional living, while expressing gratitude to God for strength and grace.

“I’m still standing, still growing and just getting started. And yes… we move,” she concluded.

The development comes amid sustained public attention on her troubled marriage to billionaire businessman and senator, Ned Nwoko, which has been dogged by reports of separation.
