Popular Nigerian TikToker Jarvis, whose real name is Amadou Elizabeth, has emotionally opened up about her mother’s failing health and her growing fear of social media backlash.

In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram by hushbobby_media on Wednesday, Jarvis expressed deep concern that critics might record her ailing mother and use the footage against her online.

“So my mom is actually sick. What I’m saying is that online is crazy. Tomorrow they might video her in her condition and try to use it against me,” she said tearfully. “That’s the one thing I’ve been scared of — that nobody should find out that my mom is not well and they should not come and speak against me on social media.”

The content creator said she anticipates harsh comments from online users who may question why her mother is ill despite her apparent financial success. However, she stressed that the situation has gone beyond what money can fix.

“Social media will always say, ‘Why didn’t you take care of her? You have all the money.’ But at this point, money can’t solve it. It’s just God, fate, belief,” Jarvis explained.

She went on to praise her mother’s sacrifices, revealing that she single-handedly raised the family without support from their father, who is from Senegal.

“I love my mom and she tried. She really tried. She fought and defended us without any father’s support,” she said emotionally.

Jarvis also revealed her long-standing struggle to reconnect with her estranged Senegalese father, whom she said was affectionate during her early childhood before communication suddenly stopped.

“From my birth, he used to call me Aminata. But it got to a point when the whole communication line stopped. Till today, I haven’t heard from him. I’m the one searching. I’ve gone to Senegal and I’m still trying my best,” she disclosed.
