Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has vowed to deliver his best and secure Nigeria’s place in the 1XBet 2025 AFCON final, promising to overcome host nation Morocco in the upcoming semi-final clash.
Osimhen spoke to newsmen after the Super Eagles’ 2-0 quarter-final victory over Algeria on Saturday evening, a match in which he opened the scoring at the 47th minute before Akor sealed the win six minutes later.
Reflecting on the victory, Osimhen said, “We prepared well for this game and I am very happy about our performance. We played against a strong team with a rich football history and quality players, so we had to bring our A-game. From the first whistle to the last, we gave our all and deserved to win.”
Asked what he wants Nigerians to know ahead of the semi-final against Morocco, the striker added, “It is the same passion, the same determination. We know Morocco have quality players, but we are not intimidated by any opponent. We will give everything we have to win.”
With this win, the Super Eagles remain undefeated in the tournament as they gear up for their clash against the host team, Morocco, in the semi-final on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
