Morocco Tough to Beat in Rabat, Regragui Warns Ahead of Nigeria Clash
Head coach of the Atlas Lions of Morocco, Walid Regragui, has declared that defeating Morocco at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat is a daunting task for any opponent.
According to the Moroccan tactician, the intimidating atmosphere of the Rabat stadium gives his team a significant psychological edge, stressing that regardless of where an opposing player plies his trade across the world, facing Morocco at the venue often comes with fear and pressure.
He further dismissed any notion of apprehension ahead of the encounter, insisting that his players are fully prepared to take on the Super Eagles in Wednesday night’s showdown.
Reacting to questions about pressure to secure a place in the final or risk being sacked, Regragui acknowledged that such expectations are part of the job, adding that every coach is conscious of the stakes.
However, he expressed confidence in his ability to navigate the situation and deliver a strong performance.
Nigeria and Morocco will battle for a place in the final on Wednesday, with kick-off scheduled for 9:00 pm local time.
