Recall that Davido recently stated that multiple DNA tests conducted on Anu showed that she is not his biological daughter. The singer also claimed he had never met Anu’s mother, describing her in unflattering terms while responding to Anu’s open letter requesting a DNA test.
The mother of Davido’s alleged teenage daughter, Ayo Labinjoh, has broken her silence amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the paternity of Anu Adeleke.
Recall that Davido recently stated that multiple DNA tests conducted on Anu showed that she is not his biological daughter. The singer also claimed he had never met Anu’s mother, describing her in unflattering terms while responding to Anu’s open letter requesting a DNA test.
However, in a statement shared via her daughter’s Instagram page on Friday, Ayo Labinjoh countered Davido’s claims, alleging that she met the singer years ago at HQ Club and accusing him of abandoning her due to assumptions about her background.
Ayo also disputed Davido’s account of the DNA tests, insisting that the process was flawed from the start. According to her, Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, took them to a laboratory rather than a hospital for the test.
She further alleged that the blood sample taken from Anu in 2014 was discarded and that the test result later presented was fabricated.
“Dr. Deji Adeleke took us to a lab, not a hospital, where Anu’s blood was drawn and later discarded behind our backs. A fake result was then printed,” Ayo claimed.
She added that the controversy has taken a toll on her daughter’s mental health, accusing Davido and his associates of inconsistencies over the number of DNA tests conducted.
Ayo also alleged that Davido recently contacted Anu directly, threatening her and verbally abusing both mother and daughter. She described the situation as bullying and said her daughter was fighting for her identity, not financial gain.
The distraught mother disclosed plans to seek international intervention, stating that Davido is a United States citizen and that she would request the U.S. State Department to liaise with the embassy in Nigeria to supervise an independent and transparent DNA test.
“My daughter did not beg to be here. Saying you’ve never met me or telling your family I was a prostitute is wrong. Bullying my daughter is wrong,” she said.
